What to Bring

A clothing guide checklist

before the walk

It is best to layer your clothing, adding or removing in response to changes in weather conditions, as well as your own body temperature.

Please be aware that the weather can change very quickly on a walk, especially in the hills.

Some people like to wear a pair of ankle socks and then proper walking socks.

➜ Vest or t-shirt and jumper,

➜ Fleece jacket,

➜ Waterproof jacket

➜ Walking trousers (Jeans are not recommended as they get too heavy and stiff when wet)

➜ Waterproof trousers,

➜ Gaiters (fabric guard that covers the gap between your trousers and your walking boots),

➜ Walking boots (it is advisable to wear proper walking boots as opposed to trainers even on C grade walks as some paths can be very muddy and slippy)
